Grown Up Jumper Girl

Join me as I live out a long-time dream - to become an adult who shows hunter/jumper horses. I started riding again over the summer of 2006, and am now proudly owned by Emma, a lovely TB/QH mare. Thanks to Kathy Childs of Crooked Post Farm, I am now able to do what I'd always thought I would.

Continuing on my journey

Well, it is the middle of winter, and my courage seems to be falling with the temperatures. Is it because I just know it hurts more to fall off when it is cold? I don't know. Emma has been very fresh lately, which doesn't help. Anyhow, I'm off to ride again this afternoon, and will probably not have anyone else in my lesson. Oh well.

On a semi-related note, I have been riding some bareback (mostly because I"m too lazy to get a saddle out!) and yesterday, I even cantered bareback! I may keep it up - it is good for me. I don't see myself ever jumping bareback like the girls, but who knows? I will never say never!
